you know your a mom when......[alot of them go for me also]
… you can no longer wear black, for fear of spit up marks
…you sing to the Kids CD that is playing on your radio long after you’ve dropped your children off.
…you lick your finger to wipe the face of a child AND suddenly stop when you realize that child ISN’T YOURS!
…you reach into your pocket and pull out a crayon, a matchbox car and a dirty sock.
…you give up your cool car for a minivan,[ or 12 p] and within a few weeks, you really start to like the van, and use phrases like “It’s just so convenient.” And you really mean it.
…you ask where “the potty” is, or you have to go pee pee
…when you walk into another room in your house to get something and by the time you get there you forget what you were going to get. [all the time]
…you find Lego's in the most unusual places in your house, and you aren’t surprised at all.
…you clap when someone goes potty.
…cleaning by yourself is no longer a chore. It’s a vacation
… you never leave the house without a snack, a juice, and a spare outfit,
… you excitedly shout “Scoop!” when you pass construction equipment on the highway … and your kids aren’t even in the car!
...You consider it a major triumph if you shower by noon.
…you go to use the bathroom you count the seconds before one of your children or your husband come knocking at the door.
...when you take a shower you either have a child or bath toys at your feet.
…When your out with your friends and all you can think of to talk about is your kids.
..you write down messages, notes to yourself or others in crayon.
...you accidentally use the bathroom with the door open when you have company
..you realize it's been 4 days since you've had an adult conversation but can't understand why you're saying things out loud that you should be keeping in your head. It's even worse when you answer your self
...buying books, you hope you'll finish them within the next year
...you know your U.P.S. guy by name
...You find yourself cutting your husbands' sandwiches into cute shapes.
...You have time to shave only one leg at a time.
...You hide in the bathroom to be alone.
... Your kid throws up and you catch it.
...Your feet stick to the kitchen floor, and you don't care
...you say at least once a day, "I'm not cut out for this job", but you know you wouldn't trade it for anything.
... You wipe other kids' noses.
... You have accidentally brushed your teeth with Desitin.
... You can recite Goodnight Moon and Green Eggs and Ham by heart.[and more]
...You forgot your mother-in-law's first name because you now only refer to her as "Grandma."

"The blessings of little ones"
Since my blog title is "The blessings of little ones "I thought I would share some of the things I have learned over the years and how I have been blessed. You can learn soooo much from little ones.
Well with Justin's b-day coming up way to soon, it makes me think of when he first came into our family, 4 1/2 years ago. Like the time we spent in Korea getting him or when we used to shoot water out of a bottle into his mouth, ...when he would spin and spin in the exer-saucer and get dizy... etc.... But before all that before he came into our family, I was the baby of the family for 15 years. I loved [and love] little ones, anyone who knew me when I was little, would probably remember that I would take my baby (doll) everywhere[ and not just my baby...the stroller, the diaper bag, the purse etc....had to go]. I loved to hold real babies and play with them also.
OK, I guess the point I'm trying to make, is that I have learned so much more living with two little ones[24/7], than when I just held them here or there. If it sounds like I'm complaining, I'm not, not at all, I am vary thankful for all I have learned in the last 4 1/2 years and excited w/ what the Lord will teach me through the little ones in my life ahead. lol, when you think you've learned a little from one little guy, just add a little girl to it and you have to learn a whole other side of things. I feel that I have learned as much in 3 mouths as I did in 4 1/2 years.
One of the things I have learned, from little ones, is to have patience. [I'm still learning, I don't think I could ever have to much patience]. You know when the little guy is helping you put away the dishes and he is taking a lot longer than you would to put them away, you could have put them away so much faster and been doing some thing else by now, but you know that practice makes..[I like to say] better. [and he is getting better].
OK I'll stop for now, I could keep going for a long time, I know it's longer than I normally post.[lol, I guess I normally don't put anything up]
